On the package it states that Newborn is for 0 - 9 months, Infant for 6-12 months and toddler for ages 1-2. I think this is probably pretty accurate. My son is 18 months old, and is 12 month or 18 month pants and shirts, not anywhere near the 2-4T size for the toddler outfit. This outfit fits him perfectly, however. There is room in the headpiece without being too roomy, and the robe comes close to his ankles without the risk of dragging on the floor. I hope this helps, I would have been sorry to buy the infant for him since he wears so many 12 month pants, I'm sure it would have been too small for him. Otherwise I think it's a great outfit so far, arrived in good condition, nice fleece robe that's easy to put on and headpiece is fastened by velcro.

THIS IS SO CUTE, AND QUITE SOFT - WILL BE COMFY FOR MY SON. BE SURE TO READ THE SIZING INSTRUCTIONS - THEY ARE NOT EXACTLY AS ONE MIGHT EXPECT, DEPENDING ON WHERE YOU BUY IT FROM (NOT THE SAME FROM EVERY SELLER). NEWBORN IS 6-12 MONTHS, INFANT 1-2 YEARS, AND TODDLER 2-4 YEARS.

PERFECT for my 3 month old son Sep 19, 2008

I have a 3 month old little boy, who is small for his age. This costume is absolutly perfect for his size. It's so soft and will be great for Halloween night, and it's a robe so he can wear a sleeper under it.
HOWEVER--I did order the Newborn (0-6 months) size, and I'm not sure it would fit a normal size 4-6 month old baby; it certainly wouldn't have fit my oldest when he was 4 months old. My little one is only 9 pounds at 3 months and it fits perfect.

Great Costume But Small Head Piece Nov 21, 2009

We purchased this costume for our 14 month old son and it was a big hit. The costume was comfortable for him to wear and it was easy to bundle him up underneath the robe and keep him warm while trick-or-treating. The one potential down side to this costume is the size of the head piece. Our son had an average sized head for a 14 month old yet the snap at the chin that was a bit snug. When we tried to use the costume again with our next child, who was just 8 months old (and about 18 lbs.), I couldn't get the head piece to snap without pinching his chin. This costume is supposed to fit children up to 18 months old but the head piece may be too small for some children in this age group. I suggest buying the costume well in advance in case you need to return it for the next size up. The costume is adorable and is worth the extra effort. *Note: The robe was cream colored- not brown like it appears in some photos.

Love the costume, but the head piece was a little tight. It was like I got the toddler size costume, but an infant sized headpiece.
