Got this for the nieces who quite enjoy making their own little personalized dolls at home and, to be honest, I'm an adult and still find the Wuggles charming.
A few notes:
-- the Wuggles (available for under $8 at Walmart and online) can be filled without investing in the machine itself. The individual doll kits come with stuffing that can easily be added manually if you want to save money
-- they're not huge (about 7 inches) which means that they're fun to create and play with but they don't stand in for full-sized teddy bears or other dolls at bedtime
-- on a more creative note: they can be converted easily into dream pillows/comfort toys by adding dried flowers/herbs in with or instead of the stuffing (my Clever Raccoon is stuffed with lavender and rosemary and sits on my nightstand making my room smell nice for when I'm ready to climb into bed) ... the little ones can pick their own dried flowers (or for that matter their favorite pictures, shiny pebbles, lucky charms, etc) the same way way they pick which personality tokens to pack theirs with, making them a little more meaningful than just a random doll stuffed with generic fluff
A nice, fun toy over all, although not really cheap when you factor in the need to buy new dolls at $8 a pop or the lack of novelty after you make the first couple

I purchased two sets of Wuggle Pets for 4 year old girls for Christmas, and my 7 year old daughter also received a set from a relative. While all three girls loved them, the fun only lasted 5 minutes for the 7 year old. She stuffed it, zipped it up, filled out the birth certificate, and promptly moved on to a different activity. Fun, but certainly not $20 worth of fun. The little girls, on the other hand (who were less adept at this whole process), spent over an hour stuffing and unstuffing, zipping and unzipping. The next day I saw one of the little girls and she had one of the pets clipped to her backpack (I think she was carrying the backpack for the sole reason that she could clip the Wuggle to it), so I guess she was still enjoying it. Overall, it's a cheaply made, overpriced toy but little girls really do love them. I agree with a previous reviewer that for $20 or less you could get a larger, higher quality stuffed animal at Build-A-Bear; but kids want what they want. So while I would much prefer an animal from Build-A-Bear (or better yet, some other toy with at least a tiny bit of educational value), I wasn't buying a present for myself! I'd recommend this as a gift or younger girls, if you can get over how annoying that jingle is- Snuggle my huggle my Wuggle pets! AAAAAGGGHHH!

I bought this Wuggle pet for my 5 year old grand daughter and she loves it so much and it was fun for her to make her own pet. Now she wants the rest of the Wuggle Pets. She had her birthday in early September and she still carries her Wuggle Pet, the dog is her favorite, to school in her back pack every day.
Also, I ordered it from Amazon.com a few days before her birthday and wasn't expecting to get it for her birthday, but it came the very same day as her birthday, Thanks Amazon.com for getting it here in a timely matter. I know I will be getting her another Wuggle pet for Christmas.

 Addictive Kids Commercial - horrible company Dec 17, 2011

My 5 year old unfortunately is hooked on commercials and begged me to ask Santa for this toy. She wanted the pink dog and blue dog and was super excited when she showed me the commericial.
I read the reviews on Amazon and was concerned. The 2 item kit comes with 2 animals and you can't choose which ones you want. So I had to look at the party kit through their website not amazon. When ordering on their website you have to enter your credit card number in first before you customize your order. The party kit was much more expensive. The voice boxes "as seen on TV" are additional money which I could only see once I was in the ordering area. I decided I would only get 4 voice boxes 2 for my 5 year old and 2 for her 2 year old sister, the other animals can be mute. Then of course S&H... The Santa gift set me back $96. Something that I think should be around $25. At this point of ordering I decided it really was not worth the money and way more than I wanted to spend. I looked for a cancel button as I no longer wanted to spend that amount of money. But there was no option only a confirm button. So I closed the browser and hoped that if I did not confirm my order it would not go through. But the order still went through. This company then called me 4 times the next day and did not leave a message. I called the number back and they immediately greeted me by my name, and stated I was being recorded and that they had seen I had ordered and wanted to enroll me in some kind of service that was $29.95 with the 1st month free. Just for trying this service they would give me $100 in gas coupons. If I did not like the service I could cancel within 30 days with no charge and still keep the coupons. I told them no thank you.
They then called me again the next day, 3 times no message. I called them back thinking something is wrong with the order and they again started selling me this offer.
I was very upset and told them not to call again. I feel that between not being able to cancel the order on the website and the pushy sales calls that this company is not upfront and honest.
The wuggle pets arrived today. The box is a small brown ugly cardborad box with nothing on the outside to indicate that it is a toy or wuggle pets. Everything was stuffed inside. This is a Xmas gift, not inventory for a warehouse. For $96 I really felt like I had been ripped off. My husband was amazed that I had spent so much money on this toy that was so badly presented. He said you spent $96 for 8 tiny animals that you have to make!
I wish I had trusted my gut and only ordered products on Amazon. I hope my daughter likes her very expensive Santa gift on Xmas day.
