Here's a way to improve in the off-season. Jan 18, 2007
By Victor Roberts
"baseball enthusiast"
Two words: BROADER SHOULDERS. For those who want to pitch at a professional level or just want to get into better shape for the next season, this guide provides hundreds of photos and descriptions of exercises and stretches to help get you there. After two months of TUFFCUFF workouts three days a week, my 11th grade nephew has added 5 pounds of muscle and is throwing the ball harder and farther. We live in a cold weather area, so he has to skip some of the recommended exercises, such as two-handed throwing of a medicine ball inside a gym. But most exercises can be done with a treadmill, dumbells, and a small indoor workout space.
The guide is probably even more helpful for college level players who have more time to focus on workouts and have access to better equipment and facilities. It also contains a variety of graphs and guidelines for players to chart their progress as well as a recommended diet. This guide proves getting to the next level requires work, not steroids.

Increased my pitching velocity!! Sep 23, 2009
By Devon Neale I started Tuff Cuff in June. My fastball speed jumped from 84 mph to 89 mph this summer, and I touched 91 mph on scout day during fall ball. This program is SICK! I can't wait to see if it keeps going up!

Tuff Cuff is excellent Feb 23, 2010
By Thomas Kellough After facing injury before my junior year of high school baseball, I was throwing an 80 mph fastball. After suffering injury and loss of velocity, I invested in this manual. Now, with my senior season right around the corner and only about 4 weeks of Tuff Cuff training under my belt, my fastball is reaching 82 mph and I've recovered my lost velocity. And that's with minimal to no throwing during the week. Inside this manual is unique stretches, gut busting core excercises, delicate scapula and rotator cuff strengthening, and much more. I highly recommend you put the time and effort into this guide.

A must have for serious pitchers Aug 10, 2011
By Matt I This manual lives up to the billing. It is full of everything a young pitcher needs to take his game to the next level. In my opinion it is best suited to pitchers just entering high school but it would be helpful to anyone who hasn't been exposed to this material.
My only complaint is that I felt a little more text from the author would have been helpful at times when describing exercises or introducing each section of new material. This kept me from rating TuffCuff five stars but overall I am happy with my purchase.
One other point to consider is that some of the recommended exercises might require the purchase of home workout equipment such as light weights or exercise balls.

Well Organized Jun 04, 2011
By Julia M. We have not begun to use this book yet but just looking through it and previewing what we will be doing has my son motivated. Having a precise plan always helps and this book is just that. My rating therefore is based more on 2 things: 1)what the book offers in terms of having a plan 2)the outstanding customer service we received when there was a glitch in our order. I e-mailed a concern to Steven Ellis (via Amazon) on Memorial Day weekend (Sunday no less) and received a response the same day that it would be taken care of. That kind of customer service speaks volumes.
