I bought this for my 5 year old grandson and he couldn't have been happier! I picked this one because it isn't padded in the chest. I wanted the costume to be comfortable since my grandson likes to wear his costume day and night. I actually ordered both the medium and the small. The sizing on the package of the small said ages 3-4. That made me uncertain if it would fit since my grandson is tall for his age. Just to be safe I ordered the medium too. It turned out the small was a perfect fit with room to grow so I returned the medium which was too big. If your child loves to dress up, I'm sure this will be a hit!

When we got this my son would not take it off. It is a thin, stretchy, not breathable, fabric so decent for nice weather but not the cold or heat.
It is made like a typical cheap store made costume. Large opening in the back so need to wear a shirt under it. The elastic snapped in the left foot on the first day. Strings hanging all over. Pretty much what I expected. Only thing that I did not expect was the back of the belt to be all sticky. I understand that it helps hold it in place. I did not expect the sticky substance to transfer all over the place.

These were an absolute hit with both boys. They wear them every day because that's what Super Hero's do. The quality was great, the delivery time was excellent. I highly recommend the costumes and the seller.

Sizes are confusing Jun 07, 2011

The product information says the size small is size 4-6, but also says it is for ages 6-8, which I found very confusing since my son's clothing sizes have generally corresponded to his age. I ordered this for my son's 6th birthday, and he is still in size 5 jeans but is about ready to move to a 6, so I ordered the small since I was afraid the medium would be much too large. The small fits him, but just barely. The sleeves are plenty long enough, and the legs are long enough (though barely), but it looks too tight in the crotch area. But he says it feels okay and hasn't complained. In case this helps anyone else with sizes, my son weighs 44 pounds and is slender and about average height for his age.
It seems reasonably well-made, but the first day he wore it his twin sister yanked the cape off him, tearing a few stitches loose and causing one of the velcro fasteners to fall off. She tried to hide the evidence in the speech therapist's trash can, but fortunately the velcro piece was rescued and I should be able to sew it back on.
Overall, I'm satisfied with the costume because my son loves it and it should last him until his next growth spurt so hopefully we'll get a few months out of it. But I have a feeling I may be ordering another one soon in a size medium.

I am buying my second one of these, only in medium instad of small. I would say they run small. My boy is 45" with a 25" waist and the small is very short waisted on him (think wedgie). He loves it and wears it every afternoon. Typical thin polyester material with poorly sewn scratchy velcro. What we like is that the belt and cape are separate- not attached to the main costume body. We also wanted a costume that didn't have fake muscles on it.
