3A big watch  Jan 20, 2008
By Thomas Fekete "pier reader"
This Stuhrling watch is a big diving watch. It is large in all dimensions and it might be difficult to wear with a long-sleeved shirt. The packaging of the watch is amazing. But as is usually the case, the information about the watch is limited and confusing. I could not adjust the date without also running the watch through a 24 hour cycle to select the right day of the month. It might be possible to do so, but I could not figure out how. If there is a middle position for the time adjustment post, I simply could not find it. The watch has been running well, but it has already lost several minutes, and I've only had the watch going for a month. The rubber band is fairly comfortable after adjusting it for my wrist size. This watch may be marked down substantially from its "list price" but give its limitations, I would not pay more than $100 since the documentation is non-existent and it seems to have trouble actually keeping time. On the other hand, it is easy to read and handsome. But again... note that the watch is huge and thick.

4Good for the price.  Jun 28, 2008
By Lon S. Felker "Lonus"
I bought this watch a few weeks ago.I didn't know much about Stuhrling, although I have another watch of this brand which has so far served well.
I like the large Arabic numerals at the 12 and 6 positions. That helps someone as near-sighted as me to quickly check the time. In the pool, I can orient myself quickly to the watchface.
One problem--the rubber band discolors quickly after exposure to clorine. Another issue is that it's an automatic; you have to wear the watch constantly if you want it to maintain accurate time. Other than those things, it's a very visually striking and practical watch--simple but stylish. I recommend it.
