Very disappointed!! Aug 18, 2007
By T. Bledsoe The first table that I received had a 6 inch crack and was scratched as well, the box looked like it had seen better days. I returned that table and 2 days later I received a new one. The replacement table also had a crack, only about 2 inches, and one side of the leaf would not open. Had to send the table and 6 chairs back. It's a shame, because it is a really pretty set, but I guess that's why it was so inexpensive.

cracked table top Jun 18, 2007
By David G. Fawcett There was a 4 inch long crack on the table top. And since the thing weighs a ton, and would be a pain to re-package, I will keep it. you get what you pay for. I know why it was $199 now; Its flimsy, but I needed something quick for the season, and i put the cracked side on the far end. I'll be shocked if it lasts more than 2 seasons. My guess is that by using some 3rd-rate shipper, you dont get kid gloves care with the furniture. Oh well, lesson learned.
great buy Mar 22, 2008
By A. Hines I was about to purchase a similar set from pottery barn for twice the price. I just wasn't comfortable spending that amount of money. I started looking for somethig that would give me the same look for a smaller price. That's when i came across this set. I read all the reviews and was still a little nervous becaue they were so mixed. But I decided to order it anyway. I received the table and chairs in about a week all pieces were intact, simple to assemble- my 16yr old daughter put ours together. It looks great on my deck and i can't wait for the weather to break o i can start using it.
beautiful, but picture deceiving Feb 08, 2008

"satisfied"
I was worried about the packaging after reading other reviews, but the table was not damaged. So far, looks beautiful. Only problem is the picture is deceiving. The picture shows the legs at the very end of the table, leaving room for 3 chairs on each side when fully extended. The legs are actually about 10 inches in from the end. There is only room for 2 chairs on each side between the legs. Not sure how we're going to seat 3 on each side without someone straddling a table leg. Anyone else notice the discrepancy in the picture versus actual??
Great Outdoor Table Feb 06, 2008
By bizEmom This table extends out so big that one night we swaped out our normal dining room table to accomidate a large dinner party at our house. You can fit 10 people at the table (2 people on each end, 3 on the sides). Yes, someone would have to stradle the legs if you put 4 people on the long sides - even 3 people is a tight squeeze because of the placement of the table legs. This patio table was made to be outside... remember that the slats that make up the top of the table will allow rain to fall through but because it's not a solid surface, don't try to write letters or homework on it.
The table was shipped in an 'almost perfect' condition. The table leaves tuck in under the table when not in use and I found out that when I opened and extended the leaves, the hinges cut into the wood and made the wood chip completely off in some places. It's liveable damage though.
Easy to assemble. Easy to take the legs off again to store. While the majority of the table was preassembed, the pre-assembly people obviously didn't use any glue to strenghten joints. When moving the table up and down stairs some of those joints came undone. I just fixed it up with gorilla glue and now it all feels sturdy again.
Great table. Great price.
