VERY Comfortable EASY to transport Apr 01, 2008
By Lea Cramer

Very Comfortable, Sturdy, Ample Width, manageable weight to transport. Will probably get a pillow for the head area as it does not come up as far as I would like... has only four notches as opposed to the normal seven. Bring on the cocktails! Already recommending it to friends!

The good news: I'm disappointed Jun 10, 2008
By nsv Yes, being disappointed is good news. When I saw that this chair came with a carry bag, I figured it would be a lightweight, flimsy thing that I could take with me for a season or two, until it fell apart.
Boy, was I wrong. The UPS guy hauled this huge box off the truck and insisted on taking it to my door for me. The weight on the UPS label was 31 pounds. It's a full sized lounge chair, very heavyweight and high quality.
I don't know how portable it will be, but I'm more than happy to use it at home.
Amazon's list of features says "Patent-pending locking system allows for infinite back and leg positions." I'm not so sure about that. The back seems to have four positions. I can't seem to adjust the leg position at all. That's fine with me, because the four positions are very comfortable. I bought a lounge chair because I wanted my feet raised, so it doesn't matter if I can't lower the leg section.
No instructions came with the chair. It did come with a card which promises "visit www.strathwoodfurniture.com for assembly and care instructions." When I go to that URL I end up at Amazon, at a Strathwood-specific page. They have no instructions there that I can see.
Assembly is easy. Put it down on the ground and pull, and it will unfold. Closing it up is easy--all I did was lift up the leg section at the joint, and it folded right up. I have no instructions for cleaning or for "infinite back and leg positions," but if you want a heavy duty lounge chair with four back positions, this is a really good one.

The lounge chair that goes with you Jul 03, 2008

I like most of the things about this chair, it is sturdy, a good neutral color, folds up easily and has a pretty good amount of adjustment considering the fact that it folds up. One negative thing: I've only had it for about 3-4 weeks and there are rust spots appearing along the metal frame. It appears the factory did cover all the metal that well with paint or it has flaked off. I don't expect it to greatly impact the life of the chair. I got a great price on this item and have enjoyed having it so far. If you are looking for something that's easy to move around, the size after folding is great. It is also heavy so you might have to make an extra trip to carry this with you. There is also a bag that zips up for moving the chair around. Overall I am pleased with my purchase.

Strathwood Foldable multiposition lounge chair with carry bag Jun 15, 2008

Very nicley made product - I do not like the fact that the chair does not lay flat, the 3 positions it allows only sitting so a person is unable to lay flat on thier stomach to tan the back. Other than that it is a nice mesh and comfortable.

Great Lounge Chairs! Jul 03, 2008
By Timothy Adams I purchased two of these chairs for our back yard. They are a little too heavy to be easily portable (about 45 lbs each), but they are sturdy, and they do collapse into a sturdy canvas carrying bag for transportation.
