Feels flimsy Aug 10, 2010

These chairs look nice, but feel a little flimsy. When I initially sat in them, I heard a few "cracks". Upon inspection, I cannot see any damage, but suspect that the "powder" coating at the weld points may have something to do with this. Also, beneath the cushion are aluminum slats that go side-to-side and after using these chairs for ~1 month, I noticed that the slats have a slight bow from my weight. I weight ~190lbs, so I fall within the capacity limits (250lbs) of these chairs. I felt that the rust-proof aluminum patio furniture would last, but I'm now a little concerned about the quality of materials and craftsmanship. I also own the Faulkner dining chair with arms and those feel a little more durable. I guess only time will tell.

Excellent Choice Dec 14, 2007

I purchased both the dining set and the lounge set and am absolutely pleased with the quality and the price. The furniture is a solid weight and is made out of sturdy metal. I do wish the cushions came in other colors besides white as I have a young family and I am skeptical of it looking this nice for very long (I'm following another reviewer's advice and plan to apply ScotchGuard). If the light color is not a concern to you, I highly recommend this collection - it is very elegant and you will not be disappointed (packaged well with no assembly except for the dining table which was a bit tricky). And if you're even remotely thinking about getting the chaise lounge, I say splurge and treat yourself to the luxury - everyone deserves a special place to sit and relax like that! You won't regret it... I promise.

Great chairs for the price. May 29, 2007

I've been searching for new outdoor dining chairs and most of the decent ones start at about $99 each and, as the previous reviewer pointed out, the cushions are extra. So even the base price of these chairs is good but since I have Amazon Prime I didn't pay any shipping and of course there's no tax so they're an even better bargain.
I got them one day after ordering and we used them last night. They are just as nice looking as they appear to be in the pictures and seem pretty sturdy. We left the cushions out through the weekend, which included a lot of rain, and they still look perfectly new. I ordered 4 and I'm now tempted to order two more.

Great Value May 09, 2007
By amylin7 We have really enjoyed these patio chairs. I've seen similar ones go for twice the price for just one chair, and you have to pay more for cushions. Here you get 2 chairs and the seat cushions. The chairs are comfortable and sturdy. I like the simple and stylish design. The description says it comes with back cushions, but there weren't any with our chairs, just the seat cushion. My friend bought these chairs also and she didn't get any back cushions either. Other than that, we love them!

Uncomfortable! Jan 07, 2009
By Tracy We bought the entire Falkner Dining collection based on the good reviews. I will say that they are good looking on our patio, very durable, but, unfortunately, the chairs are very, very uncomfortable. The open back is the problem, if there were cushions for the backs, they would help. I actually bought some pillows for the backs, which are more comfortable to sit against, but bulky. Also, many forks, knives etc. fall through the open slats in the table. I don't think I would have bought this set if I knew the chair backs would be so uncomfortable.
