Cushion information for the Falkner Lounge! May 13, 2008
By C. Ball
"Manic Minx"
I purchased these online and got them less than a week. I am thrilled with this purchase. The design goes well with both contemporary & traditional decor. The chaises are solid and appear to be well built. * The cushions, although made in a stain-getting off-white, are comfortable enough. There are 2 matching-fabric covered buttons on the front of the cushion for what I can only assume was for looks.
Before buying this item, I looked everywhere trying to get the dimensions of the cushions to get quotes on getting new ones. I didn't find them online anywhere, but now that I have these, here are the measurements in case anyone needs them: * The cushion itself is approx 3" thick. * The cushion is in 2 parts - one for the seat back and one that is the seat bottom (where your legs go) and are connected with a piece of flat fabric. * The SEAT BACK cushion measures: 25" wide x 28" long. * The SEAT BOTTOM cushion measures: 27.5" wide x 46" long with a 1" notch 10" from the top of seat bottom (to accommodate the arms).
I got prices to replace the cushion in a more user-friendly color of sunbrella fabric and got prices from $200 - $260 per chaise. I have ultimately abandoned this idea and have purchased terry cloth chaise cushion covers from Pottery Barn for less + the covers are washable!

Strathwood Falkner Chaise Lounge Review Sep 04, 2007
By Eric Lawrence We ordered four of these chaise lounges for our pool. They are very nice, but the fabric gets dirty very fast. Also, the buttons on the cushons come off very easily. You'll have to take the cushons inside if it rains, because they get wet and stay wet.
Overall, nice chairs, very sturdy frames, but so-so cushons. Replacement cushons are VERY expensive.
Update. We have had them for a few years now, and the cushons are totally nasty, even though we take them inside. The metal frames of the chairs are actually splitting apart. These look great when you first get them, but they go downhill fast.

Love Them, BUT Apr 18, 2009
By Cuisinemom I bought the two-seater lounge, two chairs with ottomans, the dining table, 4 armless dining chairs and 2 dining chairs with arms. I love all of it and it looks great but there is one major problem. After 2 seasons the finish on the arms of several pieces is bubbling up and cracking off, exposing the aluminum underneath. We have used the pieces in a normal fashion - no excessive wear and tear that should cause this type of problem. I'm hoping the remaining pieces will hold up OK. The other downside to this furniture is the pillow are a bit difficult to keep clean, and because the table is slatted, things fall through a lot. I'm thinking of getting a plexiglass top for it. But other than the problem with the finish, I really love the furniture.

How much do I love these? Jul 20, 2008
By L. Stevens Let me count the ways: they are elegantly styled, lightweight yet substantial, comfortable, and they look as if they cost 2-3 times the price. I purchased four chaises. They are easy to adjust and look GREAT. While it says that these have a black finish, I think that the color is more of a very dark cocoa brown. Based on other reviews, I decided to buy additional cushions (think end of season clearance at a big box store) to use for "everyday". I'll pull out the light cushions when we have parties. Bottom line: even with shipping, these were a great buy!
