Miss Saigon Takes Tea Jun 14, 2006
By Ellie
"Eilean Siar"
Ce n'est pas une table du tek. This is not a teak table. That said, it LOOKS like a teak table. And it costs maybe twenty percent of the cost of teak. It is made in Vietnam of a reasonable quality of wood which is stained rather well to resemble teak coloring. The 'some assembly required' involves tightening four large bolts and attaching two hooks with four wood screws. Maybe a half an hour, including getting it out of the large package it came in via FedEX.
The sixty dollar price is reasonable although the problem is not with the table when you get it. It looks good. It is sturdy. But how will it withstand weathering from rain and sun? You don't know. I suggest since it isn't teak, that you take it inside when you are not using it. It is not too heavy to carry, and it easily folds up. If you keep it on a porch or covered patio it will last far longer but not as long as teak. Nothing else outlasts teak outside.
Still I am pleased with this table and, until I feel like paying four hundred dollars or more for my next teak table it will do. In fact, the eight pieces forming the edge of the table had better joinery than my last real teak table from Indonesia. Recommended.

At Last!!!!!!!!! Jul 21, 2006
By David E. Troiano At last, the perfect sized table for my condo's deck. Table is the a good size for 2-3 people and is put together completely, with only 8 screws. When I fold it up, it makes my deck seem twice the size. Can't beat the free delivery, or the price. I'm going to use teak oil seasonally, and see how it holds up. One complaint...there were very minor dings on the side of the table top that came off with a little steel wool!

Great Bistro Table!! Jul 02, 2006
By K. Combs We've had this great little table for 2 years now and it looks almost as good as new. It has been left outside folded up but uncovered in Chicago winters and it is weathering much better than we expected. It is the perfect size on our condominium terrace for meals for the 2 of us. Of course the fact we can fold it up is a real asset. The hardware looks like new - no signs of rust. I highly recommend this product.

Beautiful Product very well made Jun 10, 2008

Solid hard wood, beautifully routed edges, drill holes fully plugged for a fine finish. If it was made in the USA - it would cost $125.00 or more. What a bargain. It is so easy to forget what these products would cost if they were not made in china or Vietnam in this case. This product is made from expensive solid wood not plastic or particle board.

The best little bistro table... May 14, 2009
By DianneB I ordered this after reading all the great reviews. It arrived promptly and I was able to put it together with no problem. Every little part was packed in its own little plastic bag ... maybe not so eco-friendly packing, but it was sure easy to find all the little nuts, screws, etc. I put the table together in about 20 minutes. My husband who is a cabinet maker came home and went over the table with a very critical eye and was impressed with it's quality, good looks and sturdiness. I put the table out on our deck. I love the way it folds. Great for storing over the winter. Unfortunately it's been raining ever since we got the table and we haven't had a chance to enjoy it. (The rain just bounces off, the table looks great). Great table, great price.
