This backboard is fairly well made but there are two things that you need to know before you purchase this. 1. It is very heavy and you will need some major support infrastructure to hold it, and 2. You will need an engineering degree to read the instructions that come with it. Incidentally, if you are like me, you will probably have a series of left over bolts, screws, and other miscellaneous parts when you finally get it assembled and you may wonder why they were all included.

You can NOT use the universal mounting bracket with this board. The only one that is compatible is $[...] and is HUGE - sticks out 3 feet from from the mounting area. This information is found no where else - we had to email Huffy customer service and then pay for a lot of back and forth shipping. Do NOT follow Amazon's recommendation to purchase the 8406 bracket.
