5Compatible with and Superior to Lego Duplo and MEGA Bloks Minibloks  Oct 31, 2010

Before we got these I had no idea that they were so comparable to Lego Duplo blocks. In fact, my son's set of blocks is a mixture of this set, some Lego Duplo and some MEGA Blocks Minibloks and as I have observed him, his creations (which have very little to do with Elmo, I might add), and experimented myself with how each kind of blockswork together, I can confidently say that these Kid K'NEX blocks are as good or better than Lego Duplo and MUCH, MUCH better than MEGA Bloks Minibloks.

The Kid K'NEX blocks fit snugly with there same kind and with other brands, so do Lego Duplo; however the difference is that these Kid K'NEX blocks' raised circular pegs are just a little bit longer than those of their competitors and this makes them hold together better affording more stable creations. Also, the plastic in these blocks is more solid than MEGA Bloks Miniblocks and the sharp edges are more rounded than Lego Duplo blocks (just slightly). Also the graphics on the blocks are painted on and are not the inferior decals that the competition uses.

I am not a big fan of toy sets that limit a child's imagination, but Elmo was only built once and since then his parts have become parts of building antennas, insect legs, and other oddities that my limited imagination could not recognize. Congrats to Kid K'NEX for inventing superior locking blocks hat improves on Leg Duplos design and expand it as well. We will definitely buy more Kid K'NEX block sets.

Oh, and did I mention, Kid K'NEX are made in the USA!
