4Love/Hate  Aug 04, 2007
By J. Cha "me, me!"
Pros: It's beautiful. It's compact. It's sturdy. It works well as a phone. Reception is good. Voice-dialing works great. I can check my gmail at a click of a button. I can look up my google calendar the same way. (After simple programming) MP3 player works well. The sounds are great. I like multimedia aspect of the phone, too. "Flipping" can be annoying, but considering that it is not a PDA phone but works just as well, it is a minor inconvenience that one can easily put up with. Takes decent pictures. If you are a thoughtful photographer, you can end up with some frame-able shots. Video quality is not all that great, but I like it that it automatically creates a quick time file that I can easily send to both Mac and PC users and they have no problem downloading and viewing them. After all, no one really intends on shooting an award winning film with phone camcorder, right?

Cons: MP3 Player song list is not as intuitive as iPod. If you have 500 songs and the song you want to listen to is song number 400, you have to go from the top all the way to 400. Get the picture? Flipping can be annoying, but as mentioned above, you can get used to it. There is a big learning curve on understanding all the functions and characteristics of the phone. You start out excited, because the phone is beautiful and seems promising. Then you get frustrated very fast by the "sensitivity" of the multimedia buttons and the constant flipping. And then you fall in love with it all over again as you get used to the phone, because it has a lot to offer. Love hate. Comes only with 64meg memory. Good thing is that you can expand it by getting a 1 gig or even 2 gig memory card. I have 2 gigs and I love it. The extended battery is good to have, but sometimes it's cumbersome to carry your phone in it. It's a beautiful phone, wouldn't you want to show it off? But the extended battery does come handy at times, so it's like, you want it and then you don't want it. You debate where to put the extended battery if you take your phone off it.

Bottom line: I wanted to return this phone many times. It's been 3 weeks. I am still debating. It has a lot of good things to offer, but it also has its quirks and problems. If you want something that comes close to a PDA without the bulk, if you want something like an iPhone, but not yet ready to buy an iPhone like me, this is a good one to get. I most likely will keep it, but I know that it will be a constant love/hate thing. It sure is a beautiful gadget, though.

5Awesome Phone !!!!!!!!!!!  Dec 29, 2007
By OUSoonersGirl
This phone is soooo cool. I have the red one and this is by far way better than expected. Yes its takes a little to get use to but IF you know how to read then you should have no problems. I hate to read but I really don't think it takes a mastermind to figure it out. So far this is the best phone for taking pics too. So clear and I get compliments ALL THE TIME. Not only is it hot looking but the battery life is kickin great. You have to flip this phone from one screen to another BUT its no biggie (unless you're lazy). I love how slim it is too. It fits in your back pocket. Very light weight so you won't get carpal tunnel for holding it. (I hate those phones that are so big, bulky and heavy). Overall I think its a GREAT phone. Really I do!!!!

1Don't buy this phone.  Jan 19, 2009

This phone is really annoying. I am really not a picky person and I usually look at the positive side of everything, but this phone really sucks. I was just looking for a new phone replacement when I came across this one on amazon and had to comment. I , like most other people on here, thought it was really cool-looking and neat that you could listen to music on it. Well its the most annoying phone I've ever owned. If you're trying to call someone and they call you at the same time, it completely freezes up and none of the buttons work. You just have to sit there and watch it ring until your friend hangs up. It gets really annoying after a while to flip the phone back and forth several times to do any simple operation. The T9 typing is AWFUL... I don't even want to go into detail here but its really bad and likes to substitute random nonsense words into your messages while you're typing and you have to go back and delete them. The battery life is awful. Oh my goodness everything about it is awful I can't wait to get a new phone!!

I, too, thought this phone looked really cool - I love red and I don't particularly like the flip phones - so I thought this would be great. I've had it for three weeks but haven't had it activated yet. Too confusing to figure out. It shuts off on its own, keys can be difficult to press, tiny screen on front is lousy, overall - a pain in the butt. Going back to Sanyo Katanya.

1Cool Accessory  Nov 08, 2008

I always get comments on how cool it looks but this is a bad phone. Like most are saying it looks cool but that's it. The touch screen never does what it is suppose. The pictures it takes are the worst quality and the person to person sound quality echoes. You can go to web sites but are unable to click on links. I have had it for about a year and it won't keep a charge. I have to have the battery pack attached all the time and even then it will only stay charged half a day with out any use!
