4Samsung all the way!  Oct 14, 2006
By G. Garcia
The LNS3292D has excellent features while keeping you and your wallet full. Really quickly, the LNS3292D has: 5000 to 1 contrast ratio (the higher the better), a wide viewing angle (you don't have to sit dead center), 8 millisecond response time (the lower the better, 8ms is average for a good TV), S-PVA panel (Industry leaders Sony and Samsung teamed up to create a high performance LCD panel. The S-PVA is it, and this TV's got it), Game mode (Samsung and Microsoft also worked together to create the proper performance tweaks needed for today's high definition games. My Xbox 360 games look like someone passed a bunch of Photoshop filters over them. Awesome!) All this and more for under 1300? Sweet! The only negative things are: Remote Control (is really generic so don't throw away those originals) Custom Color Settings Memory (only one custom setting so you have to make a choice good enough for all inputs.) 1 Component input (would have liked to see two.) Please note these are minute details and should only bother the video/audiophiles. If you are an entry level HDTVer like me and want to make a big splash into high def without breaking the bank, this is it. The time is now, reward yourself. You deserve it. Go with Samsung, go with the LNS3292D and get more enjoyment out of your television. I did and I don't regret it.

4Wicked Tv... cosmtic problems  Nov 16, 2006
By Dexter Brisbane
The picture is awesome, and the interface is excellent. The big problem is that the black plastic frame around the screen SCRATCHES with just the slightest touch. Brush a fingernail along it lightly, while wiping dust... and you have a PERMANENT scratch. It's just so lame that Samsung would use such a delicate material for the frame around the screen. A bigger shame because the Tv is really good looking. Less so now for me! I'd get this Tv again in a heartbeat... but don't let anything near it if you want to keep it looking good. There's a little warning sheet somewhere in the packaging about this problem... but it is easy to miss or not take as seriously as it should be taken.

5Samsung sets the standard  Oct 30, 2006
By Paul F. Brice
Samsung has set the bar high with the all new LNS3292D. I did extensive research before making my purchase and I can tell you that you are buying one of the top 3 32inch LCD TVs on the planet right now. The other is the slightly more expensive Samsung LNS3296D, and the much more expensive Sony 32in XBR2. To take full advantage of the outstanding picture on this Sammy you will want to set the picture to movie mode, and warm 1 or warm 2. Also turn the power saver on to medium or high. Otherwise this screen is way too brite and will have lots of artifacts and noise. I am also using an upconversion dvd player which looks awesome on this set. Even std tv looks pretty good overall. Nothing beats Discovery HD though. The speakers are really better than I thought they would be for tv speakers. You will want to add a home theater system for movies if you really want to get the theater experience. I use the tvs sound for Tv shows and switch to the home theater for movies. The remote is ok but could use a backlight. This tv has the CCFL {cold cathode fluorescent lamp} which you will not find on but a few of the best LCD tvs. It provides a brighter picture and increased color accuracy. It feels like I am looking through a window when watching this TV. The picture is very life like and natural. I couldn't be happier with this purchase and would highly recommend this set. This set works well in the bedroom or small living room. This set has a game mode for you gamers out there. Also I ordered this through Amazon on Oct 18th and I received it in just 9 days on free shipping through eagle transport. Good job Amazon!!!!!

5The Samsung LN-S3292D is an outstanding LCD TV  Nov 19, 2006
By J. Jenkins
The Samsung LN-S3292D has amazing picture quality especially when paired with a high-def signal. The sleek design of the piano-black cabinet along with the hidden speakers gives this model a look of elegance. The LN-S3292D has 5000:1 dynamic contrast ratio which make this model a terrific purchase if you can get it for less than $1,400. This Samsung model outshines Sony's 32" Bravia models and it's a lot cheaper. I own it, and I give it a strong BUY rating.

Pros: Outstanding picture quality, sleek black cabinet, multiple HDMI inputs

Cons: The lack of true two tuner picture-in-picture is a detractor, but it wasn't serious enough to keep me from purchasing this model.

5Awesome HDTV  Oct 27, 2006
By T. Kocis
The picture is great with great brightness and contrast. The LCD is a great picture to view when compared to anything else. Way Better than plasma which has alot of glare. This TV is not 1080P; It is 720P. I think it is OK because it is only 32". I liked the TV so much I ordered the 52" model which is 1080p for my family room.
