The lamp was new however the housing was Not. The prongs were loose or worn and caused a short in the tv analog board. The repair was going to cost over $700 and therefore we had to buy a new tv. We had changed the dlp bulb in our tv before and never had problems. The issue was the lamp housing was defective and was not "new" as it was to be as described. We returned the bulb abd dud receive a refund. But it cost us the travel time to drop off the tv $100 for the initial repair diagnosis. Not pleased with this purchase!

This was my second time repairing my Samsung wide screen LCD television. When researching the replacement lamp via the internet, I was amazed at the various price differences from numerous vendors. The Amazon website made the product search and purchase simple and the pricing was unbeatable. I highly recommend anyone looking to save money to utilize this service for all purchasing needs. After replacement I was stuck with a screen distortion that is where a shadow resides on the left side of the screen, but after research I found this incident is common when replacing. Researching that fix, but other than that, I will be back!!!

I simply ordered a replacement lamp. I had ordered one about two years ago from another Amazon supplier. These bulbs on the Samsung DLP TV's burn out every two years or so. It's a specific bulb, so there's no substitutes - the only differentiation is the price and the shipping speed. The price was in the ballpark with others. Granted, I did not spring for anything other than standard shipping. But it took 3-4 business days days for them to get it to the shipper. Then slow ground. It was a long time (almost two weeks). Again, not upset with the product. I just think I was misled slightly on the shipping time. I may have made a different choice in supplier if I had known. However, all's well that end's well. The bulb worked fine. Just add 3-4 days onto the shipping estimate if my experience is any indication.

I recently purchased and received this product from Amazon. I received it six days after my initial order. Contrary to the picture shown the bulb does not come with the housing. Instead of this the bulb is packaged in a sort of plastic cage. Upon undoing some screws and removing the bulb it was ready to install in my tv's original housing. Definitely a pain in the behind and an unexpected step. The bulb I was sent was also slightly larger than the one I was replacing which made for anchoring it down to the housing somewhat difficult. After a little fiddling around with different screw sizes it worked. Install back in your tv is easy as there are only a few steps. Overall I give this purchase a 2 out of 5 stars. Amazon needs to state if the bulb being purchased will come with the housing or not and if there will be a variance in size. They can do better.

Product and vendor delivered without a problem. I had a question regarding the product before buying and via email, the vendor responded within a day. Product was ordered and delivered as expected and has had no problems within the first month so far.
