Field modification required. Dec 02, 2009
By Field Tech

The only reason I am giving it 3 stars is because the description noted that it is a a replacement for the OEM part. The lamp and the case were packaged well and the lamp arrived in one piece. However it is not an exact a replacement for all of the models that were indicated. The plug/connector on the top of the case is KEYED different. So I had to disasemble the lamp and assemble the lamp in my original case. If I knew that I would have ordered the lamp only- and saved $30. Recommend that you remove the lamp assembly and inspect for defects before you purchase this assembly. In the end the lamp was correct and the TV is back in operation.

Samsung replacement bulb for a DLP Jul 26, 2007
By James Slomski If you are a owner of a DLP you cannot beat Amazon's price on bulbs. The sad part is that they need replacing more than you would know. Amazon has got the price down to where it is more realistic.

Samsung TV replacement lamp Mar 09, 2011
By t v watcher I was dissapointed with my original order.I received the wrong part and when I called the number on the package for assistance, they tried to make it my fault that I received the wrong part. They said I got the part I ordered. I did not. I had a copy of my original order that I printed out and I did not get what I ordered. Then, I had to pay to return the wrong part, pay a restocking fee and then pay again to have the right part sent. I finally got the right part but feel I overpaid for it.

Failed lamp Mar 08, 2011
By Ed Badhorn Went to Circuit City where the TV was first purchased. Store associate had to purchase on line at Circuit City Customer Service desk in store for a replacement lamp. One of the vendors that came up was Amazon. Based on price, we decided to purchase. After a little over a year the lamp failed. The original lamp lasted 3 years. Amazon would not stand behind the product, giving only a one year warranty and neither would Samsung. Samsung gives only 90 days. I believe all warranties giving such a minimal time frame for replacement are ridiculous. Great companies like Sears especially the Craftsman line would give you a direct replacement no questions asked, insuring repeat business. I can not afford to keep replacing these costly lamps at $122.00 each. I guess it's customer service SECOND now. I will no longer purchase a product from either Amazon or Samsung.
Just as promised Oct 27, 2011
By By the Seaside I had ordered from this supplier before, but always the lamp with the housing. I don't do a lot with electronics, but hoped I could handle replacing the bare lamp. I had no problems removing the old lamp and putting the bare lamp in the housing. You do need to remember where all the screws go in the housing. There are quite a number of them. My order came promptly and I had my TV up and running in no time.
