Good not great addition for wooden railways Jan 06, 2010
By N. Bean The value of the X-Track is the ability to change directions and expand routes that vehicles can take. My son likes the ability to turn his trains around or make choices on each 'lap' around his train table. That's the good news.
The bad news is the connections on the X-Track are shaped ever-so-slightly different from other popular sets (Thomas, Melissa & Doug, Imagination/Toys'r'us).I'm having to force a lot of pieces into the female connections. The male connections are too large for many of the other brands. I've considered grinding them down a bit with my Dremel but managed to wedge the necessary connections into place for the time being. Once my son is old enough to start building his own track, I may need to reconsider the Dremel option so that he doesn't break a connection off. It's that tight of a fit.
A nice addition. Dec 04, 2011
By Michael This x-crossing is a great addition to our set. It is very nice to have so my 2 y/o son can cross track without having to use the bridges that came with his original set. Those require quite a bit of manual dexterity, something he doesn't yet possess. My only complaint is the price, as there are only 5 total pieces. I think a fair price would be just under $10. Other than the price, it is very nice.
Nice expansion pack Feb 10, 2010
By JudiAU Very nice sturdy wooden expansion piece. It is often the first piece to be chosen when my son starts to build a new road and rail system. We haven't had any problem with connecting it to PT or other brands of tracks. Not sure what the other poster is writing about.
good quality track Feb 10, 2010

"blessed beyond measure"
This track is the same quality as the Melissa & Doug wooden track I bought it to expand on and seems to fit the M&D track well. I had been looking for a + shaped track like this for a while and this was the only one I could find, so I am very happy with it.
