Broke in two after ONE week of use! Nov 25, 2010
By Rachel M. Juneja I have always been a fan of plan toys first for the fact they are made of wood and are non-toxic. I have also always preferred them because of their durability. However, that is not the case for this wooden trike. My son is very gentle with his toys, only used it inside and weighs 28lbs and today he was riding it around on our tile floor and the bike literally broke in two (the seat broke away from the handle bar portion of the bike). My son fell to the floor and luckily did not cut himself on the four large screws that were sticking out stripped, with wood still on them. At first I was going to recommend this bike to my friends but I am so glad I hadn't yet. For a toy that is over $100 you would expect it to last through all your children and then some, not break after ONE week of moderate gentle use!

a big hit with my nearly two-year-old. Apr 22, 2010
By leanna jackson I feel like I'm always reading reviews for toddler things where adults receive the item and it's smaller than they expected. (Ironic, as measurements are usually provided.) I purchased this item for my son when he was 18 months old with size in mind, and knowing I would watch him closely as the 3-year-old recommendation age is most assuredly due to safety. My son adored this tricycle as soon as he discovered it Christmas morning. He couldn't reach the pedals or the floor, but he would sit on it and try to make it go, or push it around our house. His feet finally reach the ground when he's in it now (and almost two.) It's been perfectly safe at this early age as I closely supervise my son anyway, with him having a heart condition. I highly, highly recommend this product, I'm a big Plan Toys fan! :)

Cute, fun, and sturdy Dec 01, 2010
By Abasourdix This is an overall great tricycle, especially if you're not fond of cheap plastic toys... My son loves it. I would have given it 5 stars, if the little back support were adjustable to accommodate different child heights. But, I grabbed my drill and made two wholes closer up towards the front and now it fits perfectly!
Wish I could keep May 13, 2012
By LeoMom First: I love this bike. Anything wood is great to me. The bike colors are bright (there was a little peeling on the grip bars though) and it wasn't to heavy for my son to lift. Very easy to put together, my three year old helped by just watching the pictures and handing me the parts. 3 total big parts, 6 screws and 1 long bolt. The con. A crying toddler to deal with after bike was unsuitable to ride. Recommended age 3 years+. There was no way my son could use this bike. I wish i had bought it for him when he was 18months. We let him get on it but he said its to small and it hurt his kneels trying to peddle. He is normal height for a 36month old. So now we are waiting for the post office to pick it up and ship it back. Will buy again when i have another child, for a first birthday though.
Perfect indoor bike for preschooler Jul 03, 2011
By K. Roren My 3yr old daughter loves this bike and has plenty of room left to grow into it. It took her a little while to figure out how to pedal herself, but I'm sure that's true with any first bike. The construction is great - very durable. We've only used it indoors so far (wood floors) and it's been perfect. I can't say how it does outdoors, but it is such a good looking product that I'm kind of afraid to take it out of the house incase it gets dirty :) Took a few minutes to put together but was fairly easy to assemble and is very sturdy.
