***UPDATE*** I've decided to upgrade the rating to 5 stars. These speakers have outstanding performance for the money.
(4.5 stars) These speakers for the money, are an outstanding value. I paid $25 and I couldn't be much happier. The highs are very clear and detailed and the bass response is quite powerful and tight as well (for a 4x6). These speakers aren't top of the line, but I believe they're as good as anything you'll find in the price range. These are a definate safe buy and are highly recommended.

The audio on my 1999 Olds Alero began to sound like the speakers made fizzing noises in the background. I did what checking I could on the Internet to get the right speakers and some of the other reviews of these speakers led me to order them. I am very pleased. Most of my in car listening involves talk radio and Podcasts, not music.
There are abbreviated instructions on the box, but that is not where I expected them and I did not find them until I was well into installing the speakers. According to the box there is a manual, but I did not find it. My car is not listed on the box as being among those these speakers fit, but they do fit. The mounting bracket seemed a little strange, but it works fine once I caught on to how it is supposed to work. I am looking forward to getting a lot of use from these speakers.

I bought these speakers for my husband for Chrismtas because he wanted some nice sounding speakers and I didn't have a lot of money to spend. He put them in his truck and he loves them, they do everything he needs them to.

After 6 months both speakers work fine. they were hooked up to the car stereo and i played classic rock, pop, and very bassy techno. they stood up to the techno music very well.

I have speakers on my boat and was replacing them about every year due to corrosion. I installed these and they worked for 5 years until they finally died. I just purchased new ones and I'm confident they will last another 5 years. These save a lot of money and sound pretty good for boaters!
