Better technology, better performance: instead of conventional materials, we used a laminated polyester fiber in our new balanced-dome midrange, the same material used in the high-end REV-series speakers. The key to this material is that it is 30% lighter than conventional materials. That difference in weight means faster and more accurate response, for exceptionally clean, detailed music. The TS-A6881R now handles a full 260 watts max. power (50 watts nominal). So, what did we have to give up? Not a thing. Along with bigger power handling, you still get the same high performance that all the TS-A's deliver.There are a few things in life we'll never understand. Like why do stereo companies keep trying to force people to put 5" x 7" speakers in 6" x 8" holes? It doesn't look or sound right.
