Love these speakers Jan 18, 2007
By Jeremy Midgett I put these in my 03 F350, and words don't describe the difference in the sound. Have them hooked up to a Sony HU and love the sound. They're cheaper on Amazon than Ebay!!! That was the coolest part.

Full sound, at a reasonable price Aug 31, 2007

I needed to replace the front door speakers in my '96 Ford Explorer. I didn't want to spend a lot of money, and I know how pricey Stereo equipment can get. I chose the Pioneer 3-ways. What a difference in sound, compared to Ford's JBL Premium factory speakers. The Pioneer 3-ways are responsive, and FULL sounding. I really didn't expect to hear such a profound difference in a lower priced set of speakers compared to the old factory speakers, but I was pleasantly surprised. I've since replaced the rear door speakers with another set of Pioneer TS A6871R's and the stereo sounds great.
Pioneer TS A6871R Sep 08, 2011
By Draymond Crawford II I have had these going on 6 years now and it was one of the best cost effective, smooth sounding, tight bass speakers that make my ride sound like a home system. It was back in 04-05 when I brought these, I first replace the factory plain jane's with a pioneer knock off brand that only lasted a year before they died. I went ahead and picked these up and put them in all four doors of my ride. I drive them with a Alpine MRV 307 4 channel amp, which is just the right amount of power for all four to sing out. Along with the subs in the trunk, this combination is pure highs and tight car shaking bass, not that rattle can booooooom booooom mess.
decent factory replacement Aug 10, 2007
By J. Weber Affordable performance as a factory replacement, but if you want to turn it up pretty loud without distortion then you need something beefier than these. I wish I had bought something more expensive. You'll probably need to install bass-blockers with these.
