Perfect if you don't have much room in the car!! Nov 09, 2008
By Anders Culver I got this sub for my '94 Toyota truck, it's got that little cab behind the front seats, so I wasn't dealing with a bunch of extra space but I was redoing my stereo system and decided I wanted a sub too. I did my research and chose this one due to its size and other reviews that I had read elsewhere. The price is slightly steep but it eliminates the need to make a box for it so it was worth it for me. I bought it and it arrived promptly and I paired it with an Alpine MRP-M500 amp and this thing pounds! I can't turn my stereo up past 35 because it starts to hurt and that's without any bass boost from the amp!! It's crazy, it does rap bass and band type bass with perfect clarity and no distortion even when I turn the volume up to 50. It shakes all three of my mirrors on the truck. If you want a sub with decent power that hits hard while still sounding nice, this is a very nice option.

friends are jealous Dec 21, 2009
By L. Pommerening I got to compare this sub setup with a Kicker model that was similar. This Pioneer blew the Kicker away and it was cheaper. I run this unit with an inexpensive Crunch 1100. For a regular cab Silverado it rattles anything that's loose and puts out some good sound pressure. I listen to alternative Christian rock if that helps. POD,Skillet,12 Stones,Decemberadio,Seventh Day Slumber....

Very Nice Sub. Apr 24, 2009
By K. barrett I am not a professional re-viewer, but I do (like everyone) have an opinion here. Like all stereo products, listening is the best way to buy. Our good or bad recommendations are based on that, and your results may vary. Now I have this sub. I bought mine because in my 04 Sebring this sub fits perfectly in the "Cubby-hole" area and still leaves me with trunk space for golf clubs (if you have one of these, you will understand). I pumped in a mono class d amp and it rocked. No, I would not win a "shatter my windows competition" from the $500 Honda, with $3,000 rims, and $3,500 in subs in the next lane, but it sounded really, really nice. It filled out the sound stage perfectly and did thump really nicely. I would recommend this sub, but make sure your purchase a good amp to properly drive it.

Great Sound, Perfect Size Mar 18, 2009
By Edward Johnson I installed these subs behind the back seat of my 2008 Toyota Tundra Crew Max and it was like the box was custom made for the space. I attached it to a 760x2 pioneer amp, unbridged, and it hit hard. If I wanted to, I could bridge the amp and double the power, but that would just be obnoxious. I like the amount of bass I get, and the clarity is perfect. I listen to rap, hard rock, bluegrass, blues, and oldies and everything sounds good with this sub. I would defnitely recommend it, especially for tight spaces.

Pioneer Engineering at its best. Nov 28, 2010
By Alex D2 Seriously it's like pioneer designed its shallow series just for my truck Super Crew F-350 it fits perfectly behind the seat. when I first heard the first shallow Sub w/enclosure It was the very first series that Pioneer had created I liked it, and this one is the latest version of the shallow sub and yes it's better the price is the lowest it will be at $150 this is a great buy. I have it running with my AVIC-f900bt and a Kenwood 7205 1000W amp in bridged mode (matching the sub and amp wattage gives you the best sound).
