5Incredible  Jan 11, 2009
By D. McIver "CrzyBone"
Bought this 1 sub and a Kicker zx1000.1 amp. Built a 1.2 cuft box, slot ported and tuned to 35 hz. Wired everything to 2 ohms. Mounted the set up in my 06 Dodge 2500 Quad cab, and WOW! Unbelieveable. I've built systems before, but this is remarkable. Crisp, even for a ported enclosure. Loud, very very very Loud. I haven't had it tested, but the SPL is way up there for just a single sub. Worth every dime. Pioneer has made me a believer! 2 of these subs and 2000 watts would be a killer set up.

5full power!!!  May 08, 2008
By Christopher Thacker "chris"
i have 2 of these with 2power acoustik 4000 watt class D mono amps hooked up to them and do these ever slam. these are so loud i have broke my rearveiw mirror twice now. i dont know what the guy was smokin when he said he fried his with less than the rms but im pushing 1700 watts (700watts over the RMS) to each sub wired at 2 homs. if your looking for loud hard hittin subs then these are what you want to get. especially for the price YOU JUST CANT BEAT IT!!! I WILL SWEAR BY IT!! but if you looing to push as many watts as i am then i strongly recomend a bigger alt and maybe a cap also as your headlights will dim on you.

5BOOM BOOM  Oct 22, 2007
By Percy L. Baker "PIONEERMAN"
I HAve only one of these babies in a 1989 Honda Prelude hooked up to the Pioneer PRS-D1100M mono block amp. MAN you can really feel the BASS. A Good custom box is needed to handle the thunderous bass it pushes out. For the price you can't beat it. Let me know if I'm wrong.I"ll still stick with PIONEER anyhow.

5Out bang the big boys.  May 26, 2008
By Elena M. Allen
I'm middle aged and been into car audio and video before I had a drivers permit. I had two alpine type-R's with an alpine 1000 watt rms amp which sounded great. I feel I upgraded when I replaced the two 12" with one 12" W3001. Currently I have only about 1000 watts going to it but have 600 more to push into it when it breaks in. Anyone who tells you pioneer isn't as good as JL, Kicker, Alpine has not used the new generation subs. Go to pioneers website. They have all their competition wins listed there. For $120 for the sub and 500 for the right amp you'll kill people with their reported "I paid $2000 for this setup from (insert store name here)"
