5among the very best  Oct 03, 2007
By I. Stone Tarbell
Picture quality is richer in more natural color than most other LCD sets. When displaying cable TV sources
(480i) this Panasonic looks quite a bit better than some other leading brands I've seen, which tend to look
"gritty". When showing movie DVD's, I recommend using an upconverting player with an HDMI cable into the
Panasonic. The results are stunning! Quality looks like a good movie theater. (Upconverting creates a 720p signal from the DVD, which matches the native resolution of the Panasonic, which is 720p).
This set uses 2 extra speakers designed for bass response, built right into the side panels. The sound
quality is thus expanded into the lower tones, making music sound much fuller.
By the way, at a typical viewing distance of 7 or 8 feet, a 720p display looks as visually detailed as a
1080p display, because of the nature of human vision. Only at a closer distance can you see any difference.
And, at this typical viewing distance, a 32 inch display gives a viewing angle of close to 30 degrees, which
is the standard widescreen for movie theaters.
For the above reasons, I regard this LCD TV as an excellent choice for most viewers.

5A Good Purchase  Dec 01, 2007
By M. Chen
Having done a lot of research and originally looking at the cheaper Toshiba Regza, a couple of Sony Bravias, and the Aquoses from Sharp, I was happy to settle on this one. Now, having the TV for 4 weeks, I cannot be happier. My complain for the Toshiba was that the image was not that great. Sure, it had better images than the Bravia M series (the entry Sony LCD) and the non-Aquos Sharp (there was a reason that Sharp did not want to put their Aquos name on their budget TV), but that is not speaking much. Now about the Sharps I was looking at (43U and 62U series). The 43U is ugly. Even my girlfriend thought it looked "cheap" when she saw it at a local Bestbuy. But one good thing is that Sharp has good image quality (especially the 62U) not awesome response time. But the sound is so bad on the 43U that you MUST get a speaker, which I thought was counterintuitive since you are spending so much on the TV. The 62U is great, just expensive. The Sony is expensive (excluding the M series). The best bang for the buck for me was the Panasonic. It had the fastest response time (6 seconds), fastest refresh rate (120 compared to 60), GREAT picture, and really good sound. My friends thought I had a n external speaker when we watched DVD at my place the other day. And not to mention the great Panasonic quality. (Consumer Report found that Panasonic had the least malfunction rate and this particular TV scored the highest in their most recent review of LCD TVs.)

Note: this TV is NOT perfect. There are only 2 HDMI and one component inputs for you A/V fans (in comparison, the Toshiba had 3 HDMI and 2 components) and there is NO PC input, but they were not enough to turn me away. (For your reference, I have never used a 32 TV as a computer monitor and do not plan on doing that for the foreseeable future). Oh, there is NO "game mode," but I have never experienced a lag when playing my Wii and PS2.)

5FANTASTIC LCD  Nov 07, 2007
By G. Keiper
I have owned this LCD TV for about 2 months and it is better then I ever expected! I looked at about 20 different TV's before I settled on this one! Contrast Ratio is 8500:1 and the picture is crisp, the colors are bright and when its hooked up to an HD feed man its BEAUTIFUL!! It comes with a swivel base or it can be wall mounted. The viewing angles are great. The sound is good, but not great. I also run my thourgh a surround sound so that is not as much of a concern for me. The remote is easy to use and the on-screen display is also not complicated. If you are looking for an LCD, spend the extra $$ and buy this one, you will not regret it!!!!!

5excellent tv for a great price  Jan 27, 2008
By Craig "USN (retired)"
I purchased the Panasonic TC-32lx700 (720P) from Amazon three weeks ago. Vann's in Montana were the sellers. It arrived ahead of schedule enclosed in two cartons for protection. Before I purchased this set I was wondering if I should get a 1080p. After reviewing consumer reports and other online reviewers such as CNET, I decided this was the set for our bedroom. 720p sets are capable of producing a 1080i picture. P being progressive and i being interlaced, line by line. Plus all boadcast HD tv is broadcast at the 720p rate and will be for quite a few years. Lcd and plasma sets automaticly change interlaced signals to progressive. This set was top rated by consumer reports above some 1080p sets. The price was fantastic at $799 and delievered to our door. It was light weight, easy to mount on the wall with a $59.00 Sanus flat mount from amazon. Excellent mount easy to do (1 hour). the TV picture is great(I also used $13.00 HDMI cables from Amazon you do not need to spend more). The sound and picture are easily ajustable for your taste. The remote is multi brand and easy to use. The menus are quite easy to access and to use, and the price was $250 less than I could get it in Dallas. Excellent set, excellent price.

5A Great TV  Dec 06, 2007
By D. Turley
What a great television. All of the reviews, including those located on Amazon and one by Consumer Reports, indicated this is a great TV for the price, and I have to agree. Although a 768 resolution, at 32" this is not an issue. HD is great, but I am really amazing at the quality of the SD programs. I've only had it a couple of days, but absolutely nothing negative to say at this point.

Ordered from Amazon but shipped from Electronics Expo -- TV arrived one day earlier than scheduled (serveral earlier than that indicated when I ordered). Arrived via UPS. Package in perfect condition. No issues with the seller, shipper, or the TV. And at a cost of $788 including shipping, a very good value!
