I installed this lamp in a Sony KDS-50A3000 TV and the TV is like new now. Beautiful picture nice and bright, and it was very easy to install. YouTube has some good installation videos but you really do not need them. Be careful when you buy a replacement lamp and only buy Phillips. My first lamp started to flicker and was replaced while the TV was still under warranty. Unknown to me they replaced it with a generic lamp and it only lasted a year, so stay away from the cheap replacements. Make sure after you replace the lamp you go into the TV's settings and tell the TV that you replaced the lamp so it will reset the usage hours.

Philips UHP/DLP Bulb only. I ordered this bulb because the amazon ad said it was a GENUINE PHILIPS bulb. Even the booklet/ad flyer in the picture behind the bulb said philips. The bulb we received is not a genuine Philips bulb!! I know it won't last as long as an original. No philips marking what so ever! I tried and tried to get through to Amazon. I finally called a person I knew at Amazon in Coffeyville ks and they got me a customer service number. NO HELP Whatsoever. I had printed the amazon online page. Nothing from Amazon. Rep said nothing they can do for me. Thanks for nothing amazon. Duped by Amazon.

The bulb came in a timely manner. The packaging was good and bulb intact. I was curious how the Philips bulb differs from the cheaper Osram. I didn't want to take a chance on the cheaper bulb. I can't wait until these drop in price again. I would recommend this company as of now. Hopefully there will be no need for warranty.

The bulb was easy to install with just a few simple tools into the original mounting assembly. It's been working for several months now in our Sony TV with no issues. I would highly recommend this to anyone that wants to save a few bucks on the complete assembly.

I have a KDS55A3000. It is a great TV. When the power surged at my home while I was away I came back to the flashing LED on the front "THE LAMP WAS OUT!" Well, after calling any and all of the local and not so local TV shops around the best I could do was around $225 for the Lamp and I would have to get it in 2 weeks. I decided to get on my trusty AMAZON and here it was. It was within my budget at the time. The shipping was fast and the company I ordered from was top notch. The lamp cam in packaged very well. It was in a small brown box, not the one pictured, and was very secure with packing and bubble wrap. The guarantee was a nice add. I took the old one out and popped the new one it. That was easy. Now I turned on the power and there it was. Picture was bright and good as new. Thank you guys and thank you Phillips. Which by the way, Phillips makes the original bulb too guys. CJ
