Very unreliable Sep 10, 2009
By A. J. Howat I have had a Liberty Plus for several years. As mentioned by another reviewer, when it works it is fine. However, it is very unreliable, sometimes starting without problem after changing the gas and other times not working (the dreaded slow red flash!). I recently sent it back for service at great expense but again it did not work after just one changing of gas. Surely there must be a better product on the market than this?

Not sure it is worth the price Mar 05, 2009

Yes, the product kills mosquitoes... while it works. I bought the Liberty Plus and was pleased with its results for two years. In the third year it did not recharge the battery as well, did not catch mosquitoes as well. I contacted the company for service and was directed to a third party who suggested I bought a Mosquito Killing System supposedly for being more reliable. Even though we need those machines here in Louisiana (believe me), I have not had the courage to spend that amount of money yet again... not after being burnt out with the Mosquito Magnet. When you compute the high cost of the machine, propane tanks, octenol, net replacements you can almost give a price tag per mosquito killed during the life time of those unreliable machines. If you have that kind of money to throw out of the window, go ahead and buy it: it works while it lasts.

Piece of junk Jan 31, 2009
By Mustelidae1025 The Liberty Plus is one of the worst investments I ever made. It worked fine for the first 3 months and then it never worked right again. I even paid $57.00 shipping so I could send to a repair shop and they sent it back saying there was nothing wrong with it. well, it still never worked properly, it worked sometimes. Dealing with Woodstream was not pleasant either they didn't want to do anything for me. It is a great product when it is working though. I have spoken with retailers and they said they have stopped carrying the Mosquito Magnet because their customers have had nothing but problems with this item. wouldn't give it any stars but I am required to give at least one to submit this review.

Saved the evening many times! Jun 09, 2011
By CurryChef My buisness purchased the Liberty Plus because of the cordless ability. It removed all mosquitos from an area that was literally swarming three nights before! I cater large outside events all through the summer months and use this two to three days in advace of a party and totally recommend it - it really works well and for me (and my customers) is worth every penny spent. One recommendation - I have tried using it without the attractant. It still works but it works much better, clearing all the insects if you use it.

Mosquito Magnet gave us back our yard May 30, 2011
By Pam Coleman We have had the Liberty Plus for 7 years now. Unfortunately, I have not been able to make the machine work this season. Until now, all has been well. The propane lasts for 21 days and roughly an acre of our 2 acre property is kept free of pesky, disease-ridden skeeters! Our original Liberty, however, made a horrific noise. We went through 2 replacements before we got an MM that only emitted a gentle hum.
Based on the many poor reviews of current mosquito magnets, I dread going through the purchase process again. Still, WE CAN'T LIVE WITHOUT IT!
