My daughter got this from her uncle and aunt for Christmas 2007(she was 2 years old then). She has been playing with it now for 9 months. She has learned the capital letters that came with it and is always wanting to play with her "letters". I am looking at now getting the lower case letter set and/or word maker.
She has dropped the letters and the letter reader on the floor many times and they are not damaged. Being that both the letters and reader are magnetic, we are not looking for lost pieces, we always know where they are.
Better than plain letters, you can hear the sound the letter makes and the alphabet song.

Great toy, still working (and being played with) 5 years later. Nov 25, 2008

My kids got this toy for Christmas 5 years ago. They were 3yrs and 6 months at the time and they both loved it. It helped them both with learning their alphabet and recognizing letters and their sounds. After 5 years, this toy still gets played with and works great. This is one of the only educational toys that my children have had that they did not lose interest in after a few weeks. This toy has been such a great learning tool for my kids, I am buying another one for my new little nephew.

We got this for our son when he was 6 months old. He didn't know how to work it but would love for us to push the ABC song button and hear the individual sounds each letter makes on their own. He is now 18 months old and still LOVES it. He has been able to play with it on his own since he was 11 months old and you would think he grows tired of it like all the rest of the toys we have. NO he still plays with it at least once a day. Very educational and love the 3-d shape that makes it easy for little hands to grasp. I would recommend this product a thousand times over! He is starting to learn the letter names and their sounds while dancing around the kitchen having a fabulous time!

We bought it 6 weeks ago as a Christmas gift to Sophie. Now she can recognize all the letters and speak most of them. She absolutely loves it and plays with it many times each day.

I ordered this for a granddaughter's 2nd birthday earlier this month. She LOVES it! My DIL says she calls it the A-B song and is learning more of the alphabet each day. It gets used SO much. She said they have resisted taking the batteries out, even though they are tempted at times, because Caroline is so cute and joyful laughing, dancing, and singing with it.
