A Great, Different, Lego Set Jan 12, 2012

We love the new Lego Friends sets. The dog show set is especially cute with the little puppies and the various accessories to "pretend" to grow and award them with. Our 6 year-old played with the set for a full hour straight the first time she put it together. Simple to construct the shown image, but also lots of cool pieces to make your own designs with. Highly recommend.

Great! Love it! Jan 30, 2012

My five year old girl has been watching her older brothers play legos since she was born, and she finally wanted to try herself. When I told her there were girl legos, she was so excited. We spent a long time checking out the different sets in the series and finally decided upon this one as our first project.
We weren't disappointed! This set is fabulous. And very girly. It has two dogs, it has a girl, it has water for the doggy bathtub and brushes and accessories for the dogs. And of course it is pink and purple. It also inspires a nice story line--it was easy to play "dog show" for several hours. And it was just complicated enough to teach her all the skills she needed to learn to build, but not complicated enough to thwart her.
So if you have a girl who's interested in legos but not interested in boy things, this is it. And this particular set is a great one to start with.

My daughter loves her new Lego set that she picked out and bought with her own money. Jan 27, 2012
By maureen My daughter purchased this Lego set with her own money. She wanted a Lego set that was more, dare I say "girly". She is in kindergarten and assembled the entire thing on her own. She was so proud of herself. She has no interest in all the boy related Lego's so we were very happy to see some "girly" ones on the market.

Finally Legos for girls! My 6 year old put this together with only a little bit of help because the full color instructions were very simple and easy to use. I think most of her fun was in the building part. It comes with one person and 2 dogs. It would be nice if there were more people and pets. Looking at the finished tiny pile of blockes, I'm not sure about getting a great value, but overall, they are a high quality that can be used again and again, so I am pleased.
These Legos Rock for Girls! Apr 09, 2012
By Michelle in MI Finally! Legos for girls! I know those of you who have boys or girls who are growing up with boys might not think this is a big deal, but if you have a girly girl, this is the set for her! My daughter had ZERO interest in Legos until these came out. Personally, I loved Legos as a kid, and I just didn't get why she wasn't into them... but the purple and pink blocks, flowers, puppies and girls make a huge difference! I wanted her to like Legos to build her fine motor skills (and maybe improve her handwriting!) I have seen an improvement in fine motor skills, however, it's her love of following the directions and details that she seems to like better. She's more excited about building the structures than she is about playing with them after they are done. She has so much fun building that she wants to pull them apart and build them again. Maybe a future engineer in the making? At least she might be good at putting together self-assembly furniture some day ;) And now that the girly Legos have sparked her interest, I will probably be able to get her interested in other sets, too!
