Missing pieces...Questionable toy Aug 10, 2008 We purchased this for our eight-year-old for his birthday. He loved putting it together. He discovered halfway through that it was missing 32 pieces. We returned it to Toys R Us. We went through four other FACTORY SEALED boxes before we found one that actually had the missing pieces!! After completing the set, it works okay. The wheels do hit the bases they spin. It's annoying to me, but he still likes the toy. Compared with other Knex toys, I was not impressed with this one at all.

An excellent toy for careful children Jul 20, 2008 This toy is like a puzzle. You do it the first time and it takes you time and you have a lot of fun. The secound time you do it much faster and the fun doesn't last so long. Plus if you haven't been careful with the tinny pieces, you won't be able to finish it because there is almost exactly the number of pieces you need.

K'nex DOuble Ferris Wheel Mar 11, 2008 Ten year old grandson absolutely flipped when he got this! Well packaged and directions were clear enough for him to put it together. The kid is really smart, but only hesitated a couple of times before moving forward. Challenging but able to complete. I'm certain that he will be delighted when he finishes putting it together. (All the pieces, motors and batteries were included)

Great for kids who love to build things Jan 12, 2008 I bought this for my 7-year-old son for Christmas and he loved it. He couldn't wait to dive into the box and start building. He put it together all by himself. The two ferris wheels spin in opposite directions and the motor is strong enough to put a few small toys (he used imaginext knights)in the seats and watch them go around. The ferris wheel is huge though, so when left together, it takes up a lot of space.

Fun for the kids, but the motor has issues Jan 01, 2008 I got this toy for my daughter for Christmas. She really likes it. I consider it educational in the way that all building toys are - it teaches about structural integrity and mechanical linkages.
The motor has some issues, however. I think it's to high speed and too low-torque. It has a tendency to spin the gears against each other rather than turn the ferris wheel smoothly. It also goes VERY fast once it gets started, so it doesn't look much like any ferris wheel I'd want to ride.
All in all, I am pleased, but see room for improvement.
