This one is great for beginner or intermediate user. The down side of the unit is it's sensitivity to aluminum, so if you'll try using it at the beach, you'll find alot of aluminum!!! :-) But it finds other metals and items perfectly.

I purchased this Garrett ACE 150 Metal Detector to help find parts that I lost off of my plow. We found the missing parts in a plowed field in about an hour. They were about at least 8 inches deep. THe Garrett ACE 150 paid for itself more than twice over on the first trip out. My daughter can't wait to try it around the house and buildings.

This machine has been nothing but fun.We found a gold ring on the beach.Sure, you find lots of junk but it is well worth it when you find cool stuff.What a great way to spend some summer fun time.We all love it.

We thought it would be fun to take up metal detecting, having 2 boys who love the idea of treasure hunting. But sadly this metal detector gives nothing but false readings. It is very erratic. I even changed the new batteries, thinking they may be the problem, but just got the same from this product. Buy something else. Not this one. I don't know if we'll buy something better or not. I would hate to keep spending money on metal detectors, but I'm sure they're not all this bad.
