Description:

The StreetPilot 7200's huge 7-inch touch-screen display means you'll always see where you're going, from anywhere in the vehicle. Designed for larger vehicles such as RVs, semi-trucks, and buses, it is a premium automotive unit that comes preloaded with City Navigator NT detailed maps of North America. With the purchase of an optional sensor (not included), the unit notifies the driver of accidents, road construction and weather-related traffic delays before they are encountered (requires subscription, traffic service only for select cities where coverage exists). Either of two optional purchase sensors can provide these features, the GTM 10 FM TMC traffic sensor or the GXM 30 Smart Antenna (separate purchase required). In addition to traffic data, the GXM 30 provides real-time satellite weather information. The 7200 model features all of Garmin's well-known GPS functions, including intuitive navigation and automatic route calculation; voice-prompted, turn-by-turn directions; 2D or 3D map view; and automatic rerouting if a motorist strays off course. With its POI Loader software, users can load custom points-of-interest such as school zones or safety cameras. The StreetPilot 7200 also includes entertainment options, including an internal MP3 player, XM radio, and playback of audio books. The built-in MP3 player lets users browse music by artist, album, song, or genre. The XM Radio (with the optional GXM 30 Smart Antenna and XM Satellite Radio subscription - not included) features 150-plus channels of commercial-free entertainment. The StreetPilot 7200 is also compatible, a subscription-based audio book service. The face of the StreetPilot 7200 only has one button, an on/off switch. Using simplicity to manage complexity is a hallmark of the quality from Garmin, the premier maker of GPS products.

5BEST GPS  Mar 01, 2010
I bought this unit for our motorhome. Most of the reviews have listed all the features so I will not repeat them, but my two favorites are large screen and the voice naming the streets. This is one great unit. Not for small cars due to huge screen size. I don't think any units made have a larger screen. If you need "big" then this is the unit for you. Because the voice names the streets you can keep your eyes on the road almost all of the time. You won't be disappointed.

5Garmin StreetPilot 7200 7 Inch GPS from Amazon.com  Feb 11, 2010
I purchased this GPS to use in my motorhome. It has surpassed all my expectations. I especially like the size of the screen. It is very user friendly and the programming is very easy to master. I would recommend it to any first time buyer and also any old time gps user. The support is great if you have any kind of a problem. I also purchased from Amazon.com a second mount so that I could move the unit to a second vehicle. Very easy to move from vehicle to vehicle. If I need a second one it will be another 7200 Garmin.

1Not so good  Jan 17, 2010
I bought this unit as a replacement for a nuvi 350 which was an excellent piece of hardware.I wanted the video input feature so I could use it for my screen for my reverse video camera.I am currently on my third unit as the 2 previous ones failed (could not acquire satellites) at inconvenient times in the middle of long trips leaving me to go to AAA for for folding maps to get home with. The unit works well when it works but it seems to have very iffy engineering as far as dependability is concerned. Garmin's response time to failure problems is not the worst I've encountered but certainly not world class. My biggest concern at the moment is that the latest unit will fail just beyond the 1 yr guarantee limit and I will be stuck with a very expensive fishing weight. As near as I can interpret the guarantee extends from day one of purchase of original unit so when my year is up and this unit fails even though it only lasts a few months it will not be replaced for no charge. I would not recommend this unit! I am on #3 and it's been only 5 months.

5I never get lost!  Jan 10, 2010
The Street Pilot 7200 is all as advertised. The large screen is easy to see and makes reading the street or highway names very easy. It has proven to be very easy to use and is very accurate. Down loading shape files and other survey data is very easy using the memory card. I have no complaints after my first month of use. I count on it every day for my work and has proven to be a valuble tool. The pile of maps that would normally reside on the passenger seat is now obsolete. I love this product and it is the best Christmas gift I have ever recieved. I highly recommend it for anyone who does any amount of traveling.

4Large Screen Easy to Read  Nov 30, 2009
The only downfall of this unit is because of the size it is harder to dashmount without blocking your view.
