DRM prevent a lot of content from from streaming to your TV (even if it's a secure HDMI connection). Also when you hook up the HDMI (mini) cable, the analog audio output on the dock (and the device) goes mute, so don't plan to hook it up to your stereo unless you route it through your tv first.
Bottom line - don't waste your money.
The Galaxy Tab is an awesome device, but I hope someone else starts making accessories for it because most of Samsung's offering are lame.

Looks great. Docks easily. Just wish they would mention that the Wifi only model does not support HDMI out. Who knows, Samsung may eventually correct that problem.

I guess the blame goes to Samsung .. with their typical lack of foresight, this dock looks like it should fit the new Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (7") but it won't. If you bought a new Tab 2, good luck. maybe I could use it as a weird kind of picture frame....;)

I ordered and just received this dock to use primarily for charging my Tab. It comes in two pieces which easily snap together. It is made to hold the Tab vertically but you can also turn it horizontally with no problem if you want. As clearly stated, it doesn't come with a cord and I'm using the original one that came with my Tab. My husband just paid $40+ for a dock for his Zoom so I felt this was a great deal at $13.49 which included shipping...even if I end up wanting to buy an extra cord. I don't intend to use the hdmi tv function, but might try the speaker port and will update my review if I have any problems. Ordered Jan 22 and it arrived Jan 27 by USPS.
