I received the rug today and although the design and quality is good, I am very disappointed that it only measures 3.25 feet by 5 feet instead of the advertised 4 X 5 foot size. The size was a major consideration when deciding to purchase the rug. Therefore, I am very disappointed in the inaccurate advertising.

I wasn't really expecting high quality for the price I paid but I should have put my foot in my mouth. The stitching around the rug was well done. I thought it might be scratchy but the yarn is dyed and not painted so it is actually soft to the touch. My son is 3 yrs old and loves pointing to all the different buildings and modes of transportation. You can talk about a lot with this since there are planes, farms, schools, boats... He doesn't use his cars on it very much so far but he is just starting to pretend play.

I researched kids' rugs for a long time before picking this one. The reason I chose it was that it is described as being an actual "rug"- more plush & soft than a play mat. The reviews supported this as well. The reviews for similar style rugs sold on Amazon were clearly described (mostly by the reviews) as being a thin play mat. I thought I had found the perfect rug and I ordered it.
Well, when it was delivered, not only was it the wrong pattern (still a country scene but completely different) but it was also very thin, not at all like what was described in the ad. The rug we actually received is also sold here on Amazon. Now, I will say that the pattern is still very cute and the pictures are very vivd and clear, but it is NOT what I ordered. And the material is not at all what I expected.
After going back and forth with the company, it became clear that the rug I ordered is not available (not sure why it is still showing up on Amazon???) and we settled on a deal that I could live with. I am keeping the play mat I was sent. Customer service was very helpful and attentive. Overall I am happy with the play mat and I think my child will have fun with it. But, BEWARE, it is NOT the pattern advertised and it is NOT a medium-pile rug.

My 2 year old grandson is having great fun driving his cars and trucks up and down the streets of the town created on the rug.
It was definitely worth buying for him!

I purchased this rug for my 2 year old son's playroom. It is a great quality rug, soft to the touch with a rubberized back which keeps it from sliding. The colors are very vibrant and although there is not a ton of small detail, there is enough going on to keep my son occupied. He hasn't even played with his cars on it yet because he is so excited about the pictures and colors. Shipping was a little slow, but the item did arrive on the estimated delivery date (I'm spoiled with Amazon's shipping because they are extremely fast). Overall, I'm very happy with this purchase and would recommend this product to anyone who has a little boy.
