4Good product, great customer service, poor assembly instructions  Apr 21, 2008
By Michael R. Medley
I bought two of the chairs. The instructions that come with the chair are very hard to follow and the pictures are not clear enough to figure out what goes where. I ended up partially assembling, unassembling, and re-assembling the first chair three times.

The second chair was a cinch, using the first as the model. Unfortunately one of the legs on the second chair was cracked. The vendor had furnished a return sticker, but by then the boxes had been snowed on and I wasn't going to disassemble again to return.

I sent an email to the vendor explaining what the problem was and received a return email within a few minutes that a replacement leg was being ordered and shipped. It arrived today.

The chairs are very sturdy and comfortable, and the price was very good. It appears they will be needing a coat of paint by next year, since the finish seems very thin. Overall, I rate the finished product as a 4, and am very satisfied with the purchase and the customer service.

5A Great Product for the Price  Jun 16, 2008
By M. LeVan "M. LeVan"
I only bought one of these chairs as I was a little concerned about the quality given the price was so low compared to the average price for an Adirondak Chair. I was pleasantly surprised with what I received. I now wish I had bought two as they are currently out of stock. For the price, you can not beat the quality of this chair.

It does take a little time to figure out the instructions of putting the chair together. As the previous reviewer mentioned, the photos in the instructions are tiny and hard to see. So, after struggling at first to see the instruction photos, I went back online and printed off a picture of the chair from Amazon's website. That made all the difference. Assembly became VERY easy when using the instructions in conjunction with a printed photo of the finished product.

The stain on the chair is a bit light, so I am sure this is going to weather fairly quickly. However, the wood is good quality and I do not mind if the chair begins to look aged after being in the elements for a while. I have mine sitting at the edge of the woods on our property (sort of covered a little by trees), so it is going to be completely exposed. But given the location it doesn't need to look "nice and shiny" for a formal setting, and I'll be fine with allowing it to look weatherd. However, if I was going to keep this on our more formal patio area, I might consider giving it another coat of stain and maybe seal it.

4Nice Chairs  Jun 30, 2008

They went together really easy and are so great to look at. Love the telescoping foot rest and the comfort they afford!

4Solid and inexpensive Adirondack chairs  Sep 12, 2008
By Meander "Meander"
Wasn't sure what to think about furniture ordered over the internet and the bulk shipping cost was substantial (roughly half what I paid for the chair itself). But assembly was quick and relatively painless, and the chairs look really good.

I was very impressed with the finish on the wood. The reddish mahogany color matched the color of my deck exactly and looks like I stained them myself.

Would definitely recommend these.

4great deal but be warned this will take elbow grease  May 14, 2009
By Allison M. Perkel "I drank what?"
These chairs are a very good deal - as long as you know what you are getting into. The instructions are pretty horrid and the diagrams simply do not help at all. The wood is of decent quality but it will need another coat of stain and sealant.

With those two caveats out of the way, now to the good stuff. The chairs fold nicely, feel very sturdy once put together and look great. The company sent some nice followup emails so I get the sense that they do care and do listen to their customers (as I didn't have any real issues I can only give my impression).

So if you are looking for a good looking outdoor chair that isn't expensive, this is a real find.
