4Would be better  Feb 01, 2011

I had trouble with the adhesion at first and tried rinsing my mouth with Listerine before putting my lower plate in. It made a big difference. My dentist hadn't recommended it when I got them, but later, when I asked, she said that it did improve the sticking power. I haven't seen any packaging that suggests this. It's the alcohol that makes the difference so I suppose a good scotch would work as well, though I doubt I'd spit that out.

I've had dentures most of my life and I've tried just about everthing out there. Fixodent seems to hold just a little longer than anything else, so I've been using it for quite a few years.
