Bye Bye Chicken Skin ! Nov 15, 2006

I really thought this wouldn't work, most "specialty" creams & lotions never deliver on their promises. This time, I used a mild body wash with a pouf to (gently) exfoliate first, then I used the KP Duty lotion only once a day at night before bed. After about 3 days my hubby noticed a "huge difference" (his words).
If you do have any broken skin it does sting a bit but nothing I would say is "painful". If you read the ingredients you can see why it would. These ingredients are meant to disolve the thin layer of skin over the hair follicles. Such a small price to pay for smooth skln. Finally, after all these years with skin I was embarrassed about, I am finally happy to have smoother & softer skin than my husband and be able to wear sleeveless shirts!
I will definitely buy this product again and reccommend it to anyone who has Keratosis Pilaris, llike myself. Can't wait for bathing suit season to come back around. I thought I would never say those words!

KP duty is a sure-fire fix! Jul 10, 2005

I read about KP Duty in Redbook, so I decided to try it. It's a little pricey, but it is the only thing I have found that works. The KP bumps were diminishing within days, I've been using it for two weeks on my arms and I can tell a great difference. And, as an added bonus, my skin is much softer. Great product!
And yes, in case you are wondering, my initials really are KP. Cruel irony, isn't it.

Good product - OVERPRICED! Jul 24, 2008

The active ingredient in this is GLYCOLIC ACID, an alpha hydroxy acid (AHA) which exfoliates the skin. You can find a moisturizer with AHA at any drugstore for a fraction of the cost.
You're paying for fancy packaging and fancy filler ingredients here....

So far... A total waste of money. Dec 14, 2005
By Turquoise I've had KP since I was about 12 (I'm 28 now) and I recently tried KP Duty. I am absolutely *shocked* that a product that makes such brazen claims can be so ineffective. The bottle actually has a cartoon CHICKEN on it, says it "Effectively eliminates" the bumps, and that "Flawless" skin is achievable.
I have KP all over my legs; most of it is not inflamed, but there are a couple patches that are reddened. I also have very fair skin (transparent, basically) and the KP looks bad enough that no one has seen my legs at all since I was 12. (Insert complete social isolation and low self esteem HERE !) So I was so happy to see that this "KP Duty" product was formulated specifically for this disease, and I really thought it would work. Well, I've used it once a day for a month now and have noticed no reduction in the bumps or the red spots or the redness generally. The skin does *feel* much softer, but it's as ugly as ever, and the bumps are obvious when you look at the skin in profile.
I have no clue how long you're supposed to use this product before you see results. They say you should try any new skin product for at least 6 weeks before you give up, so I think I will keep at it for a while longer. But I'm assuming now that all of the raving reviews this product gets are due to its skin-softening effect, not ANY actual treatment of KP. As Jay mentioned, any lotion can provide softer skin without the $35 price !!
I have noticed within the past week or so that the ankle/calf region has started peeling. I hope this is a good thing (exfoliation?) and maybe if it continues there could be some better skin revealed underneath. However, so far even the peeling areas still have red, KP spots!
Will post another review here if the product does turn out to be effective, but don't hold your breath, folks.

Did not work for me, but worth a try... Mar 22, 2008
By B. Lam This product seemed to have worked for other readers, but I used it for month and about 3/4 of the content and it did not take care of my arm bumps. I think its still worth a try, but buy it at Sephora since they have a customer satisfaction guarantee (even pass 30 days).
