Demeter Fragrance Library - Gingerbread Cologne Spray 1oz
Demeter caught my eye for their astounding selection of unique fragrances. I knew I wanted to get one, but was tied between the Jelly Belly Blueberry Muffin, Caramel, and Gingerbread. Being September and already feeling slightly festive for the autumn and following hollidays, I decided to go with the Gingerbread. Reviews from various sites left me apprehensive about the way it would turn out, some saying the smell wore off within five minutes, others saying that the fragrance was much too spicy and smelled almost like very cumin-y curry. As it turned out, none of those were true. The fragrance was the perfect combination of a cinnamon-y spiciness layered on an appropriate amount of sugary sweetness and an hour later, I'm still getting whiffs of it. I'm so glad this was my first Demeter fragrance as it has boosted my confidence in the line and I cannot WAIT to add more scents to my collection! Thank you, Demeter!

I was introduced to this line due to a family member going through a rather perplexing lily of the valley fragrance phase(the lilly of the valley scent was so life like it was spooky), and I checked through the fragrance catolouge at a perfume shop near where I lived...to find to my way to the "Pumpkin Pie" scent. I had recently started dating my husband (note: no...dear reader I did not marry him before dating him. ;@] I have standards!) I had read in several homeopathic guides and scent guides that men become 40% more aroused when they smell pumpkin pie (maybe that's why lots of babies are born 9 months after "the holiday season...grandma really did know best!) and it _is_ true. I bought some stock! the trick is not to use it everyday...unless you are single and looking...try trading the days randomly with a sugar cookie or cinamon scent. Anyhow, the smell is really exact, and beautiful. The other scents from The Demeter Fragrance Library are just as on point. Try them...you'll see and agree!

I am a big Demeter fan and have a lot of their fragrances. My mom and I both love their "baking" scents like sugar cookie, brownie, etc. so when I saw the Angel Food Cake on sale, I bought us both a bottle. It smells a LOT like sugar cookie, very sweet and light, so if you already have sugar cookie, you might want to try another scent. I love it though, it's uplifting to wear.

its true it isn't a long lasting scent (unless your skin becomes heated in which case it re-activates the scent somewhat) but it is absolutely caramel, and makes my own mouth water when I put it on!

I own a couple of the Demeters - Caramel and Orange Cream Pop. I love them both and they seem to last a good while on my skin especially if I use the Bath/Body Oil in same scent. You can wear the oil as a body or perfume oil or in your bath. For body oil use I apply while my skin is damp from shower - using the oil as perfume I dab all over. The caramel scent is mouthwatering and a perfect rendition. Reminds me exactly of those caramel chews - also, I do pick up a maple syrup/butterscotch feel to it. I ADORE it. The scent makes me feel comfy and warm and I just love it. The orange cream pop is lovely as well...that one may remind you of St. Joseph's Baby aspirin in a way - but you definitely get the orange cream pop of your youth here. Also, do you recall the ice cream on the boardwalk that comes in a twist with half orange and half vanilla? (I call that my "once a year cone") That is what the Orange Cream Pop is like. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE. Also, I ordered the Caramel Oil here a few days back and it practically arrived overnight - shipped immediately and arrived at my door faster then ever. I hope Demeter stays around (especially in my Caramel and Orange Cream Pop) FOREVER!!!
