5A nice little pair of binoculars.  Jan 02, 2008
By Buck Bauer
A nice little pair of binoculars. I particularly like their contoured shape, which makes for a secure grip and a very comfortable feel. These will be a welcome companion on hikes in the woods, as well as trips to the theater.

A technical note which you should feel free to ignore: The Tech Talk section of the Product Description above claims that "Porro prism binoculars [like these] provide greater depth perception. . ." That statement may not be strictly true. What I see with these is an effect that 3-D photographers used to call "cardboarding," in which the apparent depth of an object is "compressed" along the line of sight. For example, a tree trunk looks flat rather than round, as if it were a cardboard cutout. This distortion is particularly noticeable in nearby objects. The effect may be due to the high magnification combined with the fact that the objective lenses are closer together than the eyepiece lenses, just the opposite of the situation in normal [non-miniature] binoculars, where the objective lenses are further apart than the eyepieces.

5Binoculars: Easy to use and lightweight  Jan 25, 2009
By Vivian H. Strong "Retired Teach"
These Bushnell "binocs" will serve us well when the birds return this spring. We plan a cruise to Alaska in May '09. They will also be a needed addition to our gear at that time. They are plenty poweful, light weight, easy to use. They do take a steady hand to hold still. We will take a tripod to minimize the movement.

5What more could you ask for??  Jun 17, 2008
By Joanofarc "mh"
These are great!! I just got them yesterday and spent some time testing them out.
What more could you ask for?... light weight, comfortable grip, easy to use and in the perfect price range. I was also very excited to see it came with a neck strap and carrying case. :)

--Great buy and I can't wait to take them on my next camping trip!
