Good Viewing in a Small Package Jan 10, 2007
By Michael E. Hesse Bushnell is a company long known for making great optics in the sporting arena. The 8-20x 25mm Porro Prism Binoculars offer a fine example of good quality for a good price. In today's mobile world many of the items we once only knew in "large" sizes have shrunk to much more practical sizes. These binoculars are an excellent example. They provide easy and swift focus of each eyepiece. The added benefit of variable power makes these binoculars a treat. They have fine light collecting capability, a decent field of view and a sturdy housing that takes abuse. The only glitch is that the variable power lever does not move quite as smoothly as it could. All in all, I am extremely pleased.

Perfect for hiking & camping, awesome above average optics Feb 15, 2007

Over all these Bushnell Binoculars feel very sold (not cheap or like a toy) yet weigh less than a pound. The field of view is bit limited, due to its 25mm front optics however, that was to be expected. What was not expected is how well they perform. The color is absolutely true to life and details are super sharp even at 20x magnification. They toss in a surprisingly tough yet soft leatherette carrying case with belt loop. I compared these to a NC Star 10-30x 50mm ($65.00) and these are FAR sharper with FAR better true to life color (that means the Bushnell binoculars do not tint what you're looking at). Honestly, they weigh so little that you easily forget you have them on a hike but when you want to zoom in on that deer or bird... the optics are very impressive. Also, they have a dipolar adjustment so if one of your eyes is less strong then the other, you can compensate for it. The zoom is a little tight but, that's far better than a little loose. Overall if you want a sold, ultra light weight, ultra small set of binoculars and you want impressive optics and color... these are it.
