Light Weight in More Ways Than One Sep 02, 2007
By Robert Bustle

The Bushnell Sentry 12-36 scope provides fair views at 12x in good light, but at higher power the eye relief diminishes rapidly and it becomes unusable to someone wearing glasses and difficult to use without glasses. I was looking for an easy to carry alternate for my 82mm Kowa scope. I intended to use it on a gunstock mount or monopod to get quick views of birds that were too far for my 10x binoculars. I did not find it suitable for this purpose. It comes with a very practical "scope glove", a soft case, and a hard case worthy of a much better instrument. Perhaps Bushnell would have a better product if they had omitted the hard case and spent the money to provide better optics.

Can't go wrong with this spotting scope May 14, 2010
By B. Brace Took this little scope out to the range today for the first time. Very pleased. Easy to use. I was leaning towards getting something with a bit more magnification, but I'm glad I chose this Bushnell compact scope, worked just fine. Very small and lightweight, but built very well. It's not the best scope on the market, but for it's price it is high value. If your looking for a range scope and size is a factor, give it try, I doubt you will be disappointed. If your looking for a scope to perform well for very long distances (300 yards), this scope isn't for you. Just keep in mind the magnification only goes to thirty-six times, perfect for my uses. I do recomend this scope, but keep in mind it's limitations. I would have given it five stars but I've only used it once. We'll see how durable it is, but i suspect it will hold up just fine, as long as it's taken care of and not abused. I also need to mention that it was rainy and cloudy today and I had no problem seeing those tiny little holes from my .22.

Small but Mighty Jun 29, 2010
By Scott A Friedman I bought this scope specifically for range use. Typically my range and shooting is out to 100 yards. Don't let the size of this scope fool you, it is great for what I needed. Sharp and clear from 7 yards out to 100 yards. Easy to focus, and even .22 rounds at 100 yards are clear on the target. Great buy for my uses.
