Very Good Value for the Price Nov 28, 2007

We have gone through speakers lots of speakers before and these perform very well. The price was outstanding and the sound quality good. Not the top of the line speaker, but how good is the sound quality at the lake with a 350 horsepower engine roaring anyway? And the price couldn't be beat. The drawbacks are they do not have a quick detach feature for easy removal and they are a bit bulky.

I bought these for my Jeep and mounted them on the rear of the roll cage. I'm happy with the sound without an amp for now, but I'm sure these speakers will get-it-on with an amp...that'll be my next purchase.
The mounting hardware is solid but I did have to use loc-tite to keep the bolts from vibrating loose, easy fix and would recommend these speakers to anyone.

When these came I was a little shocked...as the description says 6x9, which I assumed was the outer measurement....however, this speaker is pretty big....in fact it measured about 9x11x11....was much larger than what we'd hoped for, (we mounted this under our airboat seat, but we made it work by removing the top silver bracket that's meant to attach to a waketower....overall we're happy with the purchase due to the great sound and it's definitley a quality speaker that's going to hold up for many years to come, without a doubt, we were just wanting something a little smaller to take up less space....but all in all, happy with our purchase!

I purchased 2 of these speakers for my off-road vehicle. I attached them to my roll cage that is exposed to the elements. Although they are not "top of the line" speakers, when connected to an amp they really do put out a nice quality sound. The thing about these that I am most impressed with are the housings. They are constructed of a tough polymer plastic that looks as if it can take some real abuse. The clamp can be attached to different sized tubing. The minimum size is 1.75" OD. The reason I know this is that is the size of the tubing of my roll cage. It looks as if the maximum size it will fit is 2.25" OD. The clamp is metal (looks like cast aluminum) and comes with rubber sheets that can be placed inside the clamp for vibration dampening purposes. I am very impressed with this speaker and have already recommended it to several friends looking for something for the same application as what I used it for.
