I had never had to replace a lamp before so I was a little afraid that I would screw it up or order the wrong one. I bought this and it was easy to slide it right into the slot. All was well until I tried to turn on the tv and it still didn't work! I started to freak out a bit but calmed down and got on google to see if I could figure out what I did wrong. And I found it! I was testing the tv before re-installing the back panel. Apparently there's some sort of sensor back there that if you don't have all 4 screws in, the lamp won't even attempt to come on. So once I got the back panel on, everything was great! The tv was back to working normally and VERY bright; I hadn't realized how dim the tv was getting before the old lamp went out.
Very happy with the product although I wish that my Samsung TV owner's manual had gone into a little more detail about lamp replacement.
