Not Up to Par Oct 17, 2008
By Discerning One

This skillet is not ready for prime time and not up to par with other All-Clad skillets. It is very lightweight which makes it feel like a cheap bargain-basement purchase, not something that costs $60.00. The handle on this skillet is the worst I have ever seen. It is extremely uncomfortable to hold unlike other All-Clad handles. The upper edges are so thin they feel as if they could cut into the hand. The customer service rep at All-Clad told me all of their French skillets have the same handle so that means I will not be buying more.

What I expect from All Clad Dec 15, 2008

We got this pan in July (6 months before this review) and we've been using it more or less non-stop since then. It works very nicely on our ceramic, smooth-topped electric range and has held up through many rides in the dishwasher. Not a mark on the non-stick interior yet. The handle hasn't struck me as much, if at all, different than the many other All-Clad pots and pans that I've got.
The pan is a bit lighter than the 8 inch regular non-stick stainless skillet but holds its heat quite well. It was a good price versus the 8 inch skillet, too.

uneven bottom Nov 28, 2008
By T. Gaa Had to return this pan because bottom was 1/8 inch higher in middle than edges - not good. Also had the same experience with 9 and 11 inch nonstick pans. I did get a 9 inch non-nonstick pan that had a perfectly flat bottom and I love it.

Non-stick doesn't hold up Nov 14, 2008
By Jodi B. Walker OK, I am a HUDGE fan of All Clad, but the two non-stick pans just have not held up. I would recommend all the wonderful regular stainless, and get a cheap non-stick pan that you plan to replace each year for things that really need a non-stick for.
Excellent little frying pan Apr 26, 2012
By A. Bolin I am definitely a cook who falls into the "I love stainless steel" camp. I usually prefer my pots and pans to NOT have non stick coatings because I prefer the results without it. However, even I admit that there are foods that pretty much are a disaster to clean up after and for those dishes, I use this instead. I still get the even cooking of the stainless, with the benefit of easy clean up. I do still prefer the taste of foods cooked with my normal stainless, but this is a good compromise, and an excellent choice for those who do not mind non stick coating.
For those worried about keeping the exterior looking good, use a little Bar Keepers Friend on the exterior (NOT the interior), and it will look as good as it did when you opened the box.
This is a great frying pan.
